Scientists Developed A Self Cleaning Surface That Repels Even The Worst Superbugs

A team of researchers has developed a self-cleaning transparent wrap that can repel all forms of bacteria from door handles, railings and other surfaces that are prone to harmful viruses such as MRSA and C. difficile. The anti-bacterial wrap can also be used for packaging raw chicken, meat and other foods. The newly invented wrap is inspired by the water-repellent lotus leaf and further treated chemically to enhance its antibacterial properties. The researchers are expecting to get support from commercial partners to develop commercial applications for the wrap.
