New Image Captures Two Collision Between Galaxies

Collisions between galaxies occur once in a million years. The galaxies NGC 5394 and NGC 5395 also together called Heron are in the middle of a collision. Researchers say that two galaxies are located about 160 million light-years away from Earth and have already collided once. The collision has created severe movements in the galaxies’ gases and started the formation of new stars. The part of new star formation appears as reddish clumps from the telescope. Collision makes the two galaxies to pull gravitational force on each other and bend each others’ shapes.
