Manchineel tree, usually found in the tropical regions of American continent and Caribbean island is possibly the most dangerous tree in the world. It produces bright green leaves, milky juice and scatters the beaches with its sweet, delicious and highly poisonous apple-like fruit. The Manchineel tree toxins can enter easily through membranous parts of the body. Besides, you can’t use this tree to protect yourself from rain. When the rainwater and tree’s highly water-soluble juice combines, they form a painful liquid that burns the skin. Due to such toxic properties, they have been painted with red crosses and warning signs. However, Caribbean carpenters have been using its wood for furniture after carefully cutting and drying it in the sun to counterbalance toxic fluid for centuries.
