How Did Human Language Evolve?

The evolution of the languages has always generated curiosity among the researchers.  Researchers consider that it might have taken ages to evolve it from the sign languages. Based on a current study the process looks something like this. Initially, people create signs or gesture to resemble objects. People also coordinate by imitating each other. The signs then gain interpersonal and eventually conventional meaning. Next the relationship between signs and things starts to become more abstract. Gradually, these abstract structures start getting constructed into grammar which then forms the basis for the development of languages.
