Even A Small Rise In Heart Attack Protein May Increase Risk Of An Early Death

A new research indicates that even a small increase in a protein related heart attacks can substantially increase the risk of death. The protein in question is Troponin. Troponin helps regulate the contractions of the heart and skeletal muscle. The heart releases troponin into the bloodstream in heart injury events like a heart attack.  High levels of troponin usually mean there is a problem with the heart. In a study published in the BMJ researchers found that increased level of Troponin in the blood was associated with the increased risk of death due to heart attack in all age groups.
