The diseases we get from animals are called zoonotic diseases. Most of these come to us from animals that humans are closely related to like the Monkeys. Like HIV and Ebola came o us various primates. Though cats and dogs are not closely related to the humans but the probability of catching diseases from cats and dogs is high as well. Dogs and cats not only infect us from bites and scratches but also transfer diseases like E.Coli and Salmonella through their feces. Young children are more prone to these infections and can even develop seizures and neurological problems
