World’s Largest Solar Telescope Shows Most Detailed Photo Of The Sun’s Surface

Researchers from the University of Hawaii have released more detailed images of the sun surface that were never seen before. The high-resolution images were captured by the “Daniel K. Inouye” solar telescope in Hawaii, regarded as the world’s largest solar telescope. Footage collected by researchers showcase the golden-orange surface of the Sun, covered in cell-like structures. Scientists hope to use the findings to map magnetic fields in the Sun’s corona, the outermost area of the Sun where solar eruptions occur and often obstruct flights and GPS navigation.
