A portable light bulb system comprises a bulb that is removably joined to a mounting bracket attached to a support surface. The bulb carries an Internal battery power supply and an LED light engine. The system also consists of a wireless module communication device configured to wirelessly communicate with the bulb. An operator can separate the bulb from the bracket and bring the bulb to a second use position. After this, the operator will return the bulb to the bracket or bring the bulb to yet another location for Illumination.
