Rare Dual-habitat Mock Mars Mission Starts In The Utah Desert

A new crew of 12 members named “Crew 220” has arrived at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in Utah that will live and work like astronauts in a simulated Martian habitat environment. The MDRS is located in the harsh desert of southern Utah and often used to prepare teams for real red planet missions. For this upcoming mission, some members of the crew will stay at the MDRS facility while others will stay at the MAU habitat. The crews will then switch from one habitat to the other in the middle of the mission so that both teams can experience each habitat. The crew also consists of medical professionals who will practice to examine medical emergencies during Mars Missions.
