Quantum Computer Made from Photons Delivers A New Record

Jian-Wei Pan and Chao-Yang Lu from the University of Science and Technology of China have managed to improve a quantum computing technique called boson sampling to achieve a record detected photons in its final results. The last experiments were able to achieve only five detected photons and now its 14. However, the increase in the number of particles is small but it gained 6.5-billion-fold in state-space which means it would be difficult for a classical computer to perform this calculation. The result was published in arXiv.org  and waiting to be checked by other experts. But this research is surely a breakthrough achievement in the field of quantum-computational.
