Millions Of Spicules Might Be Spreading Heat Around The Sun’s Atmosphere

When we observe the sun through the solar telescopes, long spicules pops in and out of the sun surface. Now a recent study has revealed the formation and function of these solar spicules. Scientists have found that these spicules are formed due to flux cancellation at the lower atmosphere and supply good amount of energy in the upper surface of the sun. The team has found the spicule formation in the chromosphere is preceded by magnetic mash-up at the sun’s surface.
