Materials scientists from UCLA and Johns Hopkins University have made an astonishing achievement in understanding the long-lasting fuel cells. The research revealed that Fuel cells are capable of converting chemical energy into electricity. A fuel cell called hydrogen proton-exchange-membrane fuel cells has the potential to replace internal combustion engines to run automobiles as an environment-friendly, free of harmful toxicants.Researchers have also found that introducing alloying copper atoms into specially shaped nanoparticles of platinum-nickel expressed durability.
