Hackers Could Trick Your Voice Assistant With ‘Ultrasonic Commands’ You Can’t Hear

A new study has revealed that hackers could provide voice instructions to your devices without you being able to hear them. The researchers from Michigan State University and other collaborators have investigated the hacking technique on several iPhones and Android phones, finding the devices strongly acknowledged the  secret commands. The voice commands would be out of the range of human capability but could be recognized by voice assistant software on the phones. Researchers have suggested that device makers could use physical or software techniques to filter out ultrasonic commands and to overcome the effects of the SurfingAttack.
