Steps Involved In Best Wand For Big Bubbles Activity
- First of all, cut a three-foot length of twine and thread it through one washer and each screw eye, making a loop. Now tie the end of the twine together. This will be your bubble wand!
- Then set your bubble solution bucket in an open area. Put your measuring tape on the ground, starting at your bucket and extending at least 10 feet in the direction the wind is blowing.
- Now hold your rods on the ends without the screw eyes. Then gently touch the two screw eyes together, and completely immerse the yarn in the bubble solution.
- Now, gently lift your wand from the bubble solution. Isolate the ends of the rods to open the yarn loop.
- Hold the wand away from your body and slowly walk along with the measuring tape, in the direction of the wind.
- Help your kids to mark the length of the bubble you form! Try it at least five times, and remember the longest.
- Now cut the twine and separate it from the wand. Now save the washer!
- After this, cut a six-foot length of twine, and thread it through one washer and each screw eye, making a loop. Attach the end of the twine.
- Then repeat the above bubble-making steps, using the bigger wand. Measure the longest bubble you can create with the six-foot twine.
- Cut the twine and remove it from the wand and save the washer!
- Cut a nine-foot length of twine and thread it through two washers and each screw eye, making a loop. Tie the end of the twine together.
- Help your kids while they repeat the bubble-making steps, with both of you holding the wand. Mark the longest bubble you can form with the nine-foot twine.
In this activity, you produced some of the biggest bubbles possible, with just a little string and some patience! You may have observed that it was more comfortable to form the long bubbles with the shorter twine. As the twine got longer it may have been more difficult for the bubbles to form.
