Don’t Skip Sleep To Score High On Exams

Children have long been advised by their parents they should get proper sleep before exams rather than mugging up notes all night long. Now a new study has approved this theory and indicates that the human brain does replay memories while napping. Until now, all the current technologies have failed to directly test for replay at the level of neural firing models. But now, functional neuroimaging and intracranial EEG studies clearly indicated this phenomenon also occurs in the human brain. Researchers believe this study provides direct evidence that revision of memories also occurs in the human brain and might help to strengthen those memories.
