Archaeologists Find Grand Geometric Pattern At World’s Oldest Temple

Researchers have revealed that neolithic hunter-gatherers who constructed huge monoliths in central Turkey 11,500 years ago had the expertise of geometry and a much more complex society than earlier estimated. Israeli archaeologists propose the Göbekli Tepe construction project needed an amount of planning and resources believed to be impossible for those circumstances. Their investigation of the three oldest stone buildings at Göbekli Tepe has unveiled a hidden geometric design, particularly an equilateral triangle, holding the entire architectural design of these buildings.  Researchers believe the new study is “an amazing addition to the understanding” of this enigmatic site.
