A Black Hole Ejects A Star Out Of The Milky Way Galaxy!

A team of astronomers have recently discovered a star named S5-HVS1 speeding out of the Milky Way at around 4 million miles per hour. The star was thrown out from the center of our galaxy by a supermassive black hole about 5 million years ago and is considered twice as massive as our sun and ten times more luminous. The astronomers demonstrated that the speeding star was once part of a double-star system that came too close to the black hole. The star is about 29,000 light-years away, is moving so fast that it will leave the Milky Way in about 100 million years.
