Australians researchers have mapped the immune response from a healthy patient with mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms. A team of scientists tested the blood samples from a patient who was hospitalized with moderate symptoms of COVID-19. The study revealed that the patient’s immune system reacted to the virus in the same way they react to influenza, involving a wide range of cells in recovery. Scientists consider this as an important step towards recognizing what stimulates the recovery of COVID-19. Scientists hope their work could be used for developing vaccines by gaining knowledge of how and why some patients experience mild to mild symptoms and some die from the coronavirus.
