The Breakthrough Prize called the “Oscars of Science” is a set of international prizes presented in three categories by Breakthrough Prize Board to honour recent achievements in Fundamental Physics, Life Sciences and Mathematics .The Breakthrough Prize was established by Sergey Brin, Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg, Pony Ma,Yuri Milner, Julia Milner and Anne Wojcicki. Committees of former laureates decide the winners. Laureates get $3 million each in prize money. For the 2020 award apart from the 3 categories there were also six New Horizon awards were also given.
