As per the new study, climate change could increase the plants’ water consumption that will eventually leave less water for Human use. With the increase in the CO2 level in the atmosphere, plants can photosynthesize the same amount while partially closing the pores on their leaves that will increase the availability of freshwater in the land. Moreover, new research suggests that as the climate is changing, crop cultivation is becoming longer enabling plants to consume more water for their development. This will eventually leave less water for land and human consumption.
