Striking footage of a UFO shared by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell has caused a stir. The video shows unidentified objects hovering over a US Navy warship. What’s more surprising, Pentagon has come forward and branded the video as authentic. “I can confirm that the referenced photos and videos were taken by Navy personnel,” Sue Gough, Department of Defense spokesperson, was quoted by Futurism.
It’s evident that the video was shot from night vision equipment. It shows triangle-shaped objects swarming over a Navy warship.
Corbell was quoted by Mystery Wire saying: “It shows what they described as vehicles. And they made a great distinction. They made sure in this classified briefing, they made a great distinction that this is not something that we own either a black project, this is not something of a foreign military, that these were behaving in ways that we did not expect. And that they were you know shaped non aerodynamically. Like pyramids, these are flying pyramids!”
As per Corbell, the video was shot in 2019 and shows an incident where flying objects were earlier described as drones that reportedly buzzed a Navy warship in Southern California. Mystery Wire report also suggests that several photos alongside the video obtained by Corbell were gathered by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, a group that investigates encounters relating to unidentified objects.
Well, the incident could be an optical illusion or could have other explanations. A similar theory from YouTuber Mick West says that the footage was recorded using a smartphone with a night vision monocular, and it shows a normal aircraft; however, due to the bokeh effect, the aircraft appears like a triangular-shaped object. What makes this theory more believable is the fact that blinking lights could be an aircraft’s safety lights. Although West did not have any convincing evidence of a night vision rig that has a triangular aperture, he did argue that some night vision users create DIY apertures using tape, which could be triangular.
